Young italian designer born in Parma in 1983. Matteo Cibic was studying Product Design in Milan. He began to collaborate with other young artists and works for the gallery Le Case d'Arte de Pasquale Leccese and creates large sculptures in polystyrene and rubber, paints on canvas and produces videos.
Matteo Cibic is a product designer and creative problem solver. He loves inventing new products by working with craftmen that are interestes in experimenting with different materials and production techniques. Matteo's creative process is often sparked by basic things such as ideas that come from the subject and the materials and from his knowledge and study of production mechanisms.
These help him to search for new technical solutions and working techniques which can then be transformed and used to create new objects. One of the oustanding aspects of Matteo's products is that they often hide unexpected functions, creating an interaction with the user. In the Bibelot Sexuel series, objects that seemed to be just for the home or jewellery to be worn around the neck transformed into high-spirited objects of pleasure.
Matteo Cibic surprises us by his creations also creates fun and sex objects and elegant design ...
In 2005, he started his business in art direction and design. He revisits the concept of Tamagoshi in 2009 by creating its Domsais.
